However I struggle to find any real information. The official Dolby Atmos VST Plugin is hard to come by and I only seem to find a Protools bundle (I don't want the ProTools bundle).

Official website also talks only about ProTools

They have however other packages that are just as confusing and make no sense, content- and price wise

Especially there's a part of that $1000 suite (resp. $10.000 including some never-heard-of hardware interface) that is said to be 'Windows PC only' and other parts say '3 Mac Versions included' - what is that? I get a $1000 Atmos Mastering Suite and have to run one part of the software on Windows PC and the other part on Mac?
EDIT: Also check out the tech specs, funny as hell. Dolby Atmos but only supports up to 48Khz audio. Wasn't the whole thing also about high-res audio? Albeit Dolby True-HD or whatnot they called it - I still find that really weird. How are even consumers supposed to understand that?

Cakewalk Sonar (RIP) had already up to 7.1 Surround mixing included. I was hoping Live would jump the train and give us at least a purchasable option - I'm into video production a bit with my Studio and offering Atmos Mixing would definitely give me an advantage.
I never understood these company policies - they spent millions to develop that stuff and then block out pretty much any interested 3rd party creators by not supplying information and suitable products.
Can anyone give me more info on how I can mix into Atmos with Live? I couldn't yet even find out what file format I would have to mixdown..
